Our practice is intentionally focused on the areas where personal attention and three decades of experience make the biggest difference. We don’t try to be everything to everyone โ€” we do a handful of things very well, for the same clients and families over many years.

What stays consistent across every practice area: direct access to the attorney handling your matter, transparent pricing quoted upfront, plain-language explanation of what you’re signing or facing, and a relationship that often continues for decades.

About Our Practice

Common Questions

Two attorneys handle every matter at the firm: Chris J. Aiello (founder, practicing since 1990) and John Pizinger. We’re intentionally small โ€” when you call, you talk to one of us, and one of us handles your file.

Yes โ€” we regularly handle matters in Cook County (Chicago and surrounding suburbs), Kane County, and DuPage. For the most part our practice is concentrated in DuPage and Cook County’s western suburbs.

Yes. We don’t charge for the initial meeting (typically 30-45 minutes). We use it to understand your situation, explain your options, and quote pricing if you decide to engage us.

Most matters are flat-fee โ€” quoted at consultation based on type and complexity. Litigation and contested matters are hourly with regular billing updates. We don’t surprise clients with bills they didn’t expect.

Most matters do. An estate plan often involves real estate. A divorce can involve property and tax issues. A small business often needs succession planning, employment review, and contract help. We coordinate across practice areas internally โ€” you don’t have to.

Yes, when needed. Estate planning signings and real estate closings can often be scheduled around work hours. Criminal defense and urgent matters are handled whenever needed.

Free Initial Consultation

Whatever your matter, the first conversation is free. Office visit, phone, or video โ€” your choice.
