How We've Built This Practice

Chris J. Aiello, P.C. was founded in 1990 in Villa Park, Illinois with a focus on the areas of law where the stakes are highest โ€” estate planning, real estate transactions, criminal defense, probate, and civil litigation. More than three decades later, we still operate from the same Villa Park office, still focused on those same core practice areas, and still answering our own phones.

We’ve intentionally stayed small. Two attorneys, working personally on every matter, with the kind of focused expertise that comes from doing a handful of things very well over many years. Our clients aren’t case numbers โ€” they’re the families and businesses we’ve represented for years, often introduced to us by their parents or grandparents.

When you call our office, you talk to Chris or John. When you sign a will, draft a contract, or face a charge โ€” Chris or John handles the work. No handoffs to paralegals, no first-year associates learning on your file, no voicemail trees. Just direct attorney access, plain-language communication, and the kind of relationship that earns trust over time.

How We Work

What Makes Our Approach Different

Direct attorney access

Your matter is handled by Chris or John personally. No paralegals, no first-year associates, no voicemail trees between you and the attorney working on your file.

Free initial consultation

We don’t charge for the initial 30-45 minute meeting. We use it to understand your situation, explain options, and quote pricing โ€” no obligation to engage afterward.

Flat-fee pricing where possible

Estate plans, residential closings, traffic matters, and most defined-scope work is quoted flat-fee. Hourly billing only where complexity genuinely requires it.

Plain language

Legal documents are dense. We walk you through every clause in plain English. You’ll understand what you’re signing before you sign it.

Local court familiarity

Daily presence in DuPage County courts since 1990. We know the judges, the prosecutors, the title companies, and the local procedures.

Long-term relationships

We’ve represented multiple generations of the same families. Many clients return decades later for the next stage of life. That continuity reflects how we work.
